1. Operator and acceptance
Modeh is operated by Leo Dahan, United States (referred to as “we,” “us,” or the “Service operator”).
By using the website or app, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Modeh provides
Modeh is a personal content service offering a private gratitude journal, short reflections, prayers, blessings, Psalms, weekly portion content, Shabbat times, reminders, and sharing tools. Some content is available without an account, while personal features are available in the app.
3. Age and minors
There is no minimum age for reading or guest mode. Minors should use the Service with the knowledge of a parent or guardian and as allowed by local law. Children under 13 may not create a cloud account or provide personal information without verifiable parental consent.
4. Accounts and guest mode
- You are responsible for accurate account information and for keeping sign-in credentials confidential.
- Do not transfer an account or access an account that is not yours.
- Guest-mode data stays on the device and may be lost if the app is removed or the device is lost.
- We may restrict an account used unlawfully, abusively, or in a way that threatens Service security.
5. Your personal content
You keep ownership of what you write in your gratitude journal and My Path. If you choose a cloud account, you give us a limited permission to process, encrypt, store, and sync that content solely to provide the Service. This does not give us permission to publish your private text.
- A share card is created only after an explicit action and does not include the private goal or note text.
- You are responsible for the destination and audience of an external share.
- After sharing to a third-party service, that copy is also governed by the third party’s terms.
6. Spiritual, religious, and professional content
Modeh content is for general inspiration, learning, and accessibility. It is not a personal halachic ruling and is not a substitute for a rabbi, physician, mental-health professional, lawyer, financial adviser, or emergency service. Verify personal or practical questions with a qualified person. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
7. Accuracy, times, and sources
We work to provide accurate content, dates, and times, but errors, differences in custom, time-zone changes, or outdated third-party information may occur. Verify Shabbat times and practical guidance with a trusted local source when accuracy is critical.
8. Prohibited use
- Do not damage the Service, bypass security, run burdensome scraping, introduce malicious code, or attempt to access another person’s data.
- Do not use the Service for harassment, impersonation, rights violations, unlawful activity, or harmful content.
- Do not copy or commercialize Modeh branding, design, code, or content collections without permission, except as allowed by law.
9. Intellectual property and third-party sources
Modeh branding, design, code, and original content belong to the operator or relevant rights holders. External texts and information remain subject to their own rights and licenses. Attribution to Sefaria, Hebcal, and other sources appears where relevant.
10. External services and links
The Service may link to or rely on Apple, Google, Sefaria, Hebcal, sharing apps, and infrastructure providers. We do not control their availability, content, or policies and are not responsible for their conduct beyond what applicable law requires.
11. Notifications and Service changes
Notifications are optional and can be turned off. We may change, add, suspend, or discontinue a feature and may correct or remove content. We will try to provide notice of a material change when practical.
12. Account deletion and termination
You can delete an account in the app or request deletion at modeh.app/delete-account. We may suspend use that violates these Terms, threatens users, or harms Service security. Provisions that naturally survive termination — including intellectual property and limitations of liability — will continue.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free operation or suitability for every personal need. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Service. Non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the United States. A dispute will be brought in a court with jurisdiction where the operator principally conducts business, unless mandatory consumer law allows another forum. Before filing a claim, the parties are asked to try to resolve the issue by contacting report@anxhq.com.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be shown on the website or in the app. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to applicable law. Contact: report@anxhq.com.
